This is WEIRD: I'm using CS2 ... I've got a simple TIF image ... it's about
4×5 inches, RGB color mode, 72ppi, 8-bit. It IS flattened (background layer
only) and it does NOT contain any alpha channels or paths. My goal is to
save it as a JPG file. But it simply refuses ... I get this error message:
"Could not complete your request because of a program error."
I can save this TIF file as a PNG or as a BMP ... but then, when I try to
save either of THOSE as a JPG ... same error message. I don't have any OTHER
problems saving any OTHER images as JPGs. Nothing like this has ever
happened before, to my knowledge. (I'm a fairly constant Photoshop user...)
I have closed and restarted Photoshop ... and I've rebooted my system. (I
have not deleted my Photoshop preferences ... I hate doing that unless it's
absolutely necessary.)
Anybody have a clue what curious characteristic could be in this one image
that prevents it from being saved as a JPG?
TIA............

I've just tried saving a jpeg as a tiff and it gave choices for Mac or
PC - this could be your problem. >> Stay informed about: What's wrong with this picture? |

Hey Tacit, thanks for this. I've often wondered but never thought to
check it out. >> Stay informed about: What's wrong with this picture? |
