Hi All,

I am creating transparent gifs that contain text only, using Photoshop
6.

When rendered in a browser, definition is poor.

The text contains a single RGB code, and is set against a gradiant
background, so I have set the Matte to none. Only two colours are
displayed in the color table when doing a save to web. Could this be
the issue.

I have created the same style of button successfully using Photoshop
5, by making the background transparent and leaving all gradiants of
the text color visible. The image was also the same size and
resolution.

I want to save the image as a gif and not in png format.

Please excuse me if this appears a very basic question. I am a
definate newbie, but have searched in vein for a tutorial to help
solve my issue.

Thanks in advance,

Adam

I also found the save to web poor and my images were very 'hacky'. So went
back to the old GIF89a export method.
