As one who makes every effort to contribute to this group, being lumped in
with a bunch of nutters is very helpful indeed. Thank you Paul.

Or is this just the biggest troll this month? If so, ya got me fair and
square.

"Paul" please be aware that many programs provide for a method of
blocking incoming senders.
If or when you received nasties block as many as you can find. Then
you will discover that the rest, the majority of this newsgroup
contains many devoted and helpful people. Post anything you need to
post here.

Paul is correct. Take everything here for a grain of salt. If the answer
to your question is verified by several others then go with it. Just don't
jump with the first answer you get. The answer is just something to start
your hunt for the correct answer, at least it will start to push you into
the right direction.

Actually, this is one of the better Photography newsgroups. Several others
are run over by spammers and people who just want to start arguments.

For better answers for your photoshop/elements/premier questions just go to
Elementsvillage forums at: http://www.elementsvillage.com/forums/index.php
anybody who gets out of hand gets booted. Its a moderated group.

Speaking of blocking, the MI5 cross posting idiot has been posting again. I

Hi Paul,

on the topic of being articulate - why do people insist on using the
expression IMHO (in my HONEST opinion)? An opinion is an opinion; if you
believe something which happens to be incorrect, that does not make it a
dishonest opinion, it just makes your opinion wrong. By using the word
honest you are almost implying that other people give opinions that they
don't really believe.

Before you say it, no, I am not one of the nutters in this group. I am just
curious why the expression is so widely used and part of it is superfluous.

Best regards,
Brian.

Hi

I'm sure that is what is meant, it is a quote from Charles Dickens.

I think it was the character Mr Macawber in Pickwick Papers who was always
being very humble.

Aah, that could be right actually; thanks for pointing that out, Bream.
