TIFF-files - I am working with in windows XP and When there are lot of them, in Windows XP it works ferry slow. Is there method to let it work quicker, as quick as JPG- files?

TIFF problem - I'm using CS2 and have some largish TIFF files of aerials, about 42 megs. They open fine in Windows Picture and Fax Viewer but when I open them in Photoshop they are squeezed at the sides. Is there some setting I'm missing that causes CS2 to open..

Place each tiff file in a separate layer. TIFF support layers,
compression... it's quite useful.
