Here's the example:

I take some photos with my Canon G2. I'm running Photoshop 7.0.1 with
Windows XP Home Edition. I'm using "Adobe RGB (1998)" as my workspace.
After working on any photo I save it as a jpg file. If I email or save
this file on any other media (CD) other people can NOT open them. I
can still open them on the originating computer. Other get a "invalid
jpg" error. I've already tried to save these jpgs without the image
preview but it doesn't help.

Any thoughts?

I had this problem once, I had accidently saved the image as a CMYK Jpeg !!!
Try changing it to RGB and saving it, it worked for me!
