Are the file formats 100% compatible between the Mac and PC versions
of Photoshop? Or do they read each other and give one the ability to
save in each? Or none of the above?

PSD files (and TIFF and JPEG and GIF and Targa... and possibly more) are
portable between both platforms. Enjoy.
